Spam Notice
"To Whom So Ever It May Concern"
FineGenerics.co.uk does not engage in running any sort
of Email Campaigns whatsoever.
You may have received email recently that appears to come from
our campaign, or be about our campaign – perhaps the "From"
and or "Reply-to" addresses look like they are coming
from our site. Or perhaps you have received a message that appears
to come from an individual (if the address is real, the real owner
probably did not send this email either) with suppressed recipients.
Or maybe you received an email that appeared to come from yourself
promoting our site.
If you continue to receive SPAM, we extend our apologies. Regrettably,
we do not have any control over the source(s) of these "spoofed"
emails misusing our name and/or website address. We would like to
express our regret for any spam tactics used by other individuals
(obviously with vested interests and to malign our website.)
We emphatically affirm the aforesaid and reassure you that we are
no way involved with these spam tactics.
Our site appears to be the target of what is called a "Joe
Job". Please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_job
to know more about a “Joe Job”.
Such an event is where a spammer forges email to make it appear
to have come from some other domain (such as ours – or yourself).
This is hard to prevent on our end and part of the insecure nature
of the email protocol in general.
Most of the Spam that we have received complaints about
appears to be forged from email addresses not associated with Finegenerics.co.uk
We assume that some of our adversaries may be involved
in these spam activities solely to harm and defeat our purpose.
Also visit http://www.ftc.gov/spam
that has information about the Federal Trade Commission's recent
law enforcement actions against deceptive commercial email and spammers'
responsibilities under the CAN-SPAM law.
We will also pursue the spammers to the full extent of law.
